ordered the EC, and to my disappointment, I am not going to keep it. The external materials and looks of the bag are great.
The padding on the shoulder straps is also awesome. the rain cover integration is amazing.
The main compartment/expansion. All good. I did not like the internal compression as it is crazy long, but that is a minor thing. The bag did not work for me as the hip belt was waaaaaay more minimal than I expected, but worse than that, I could not make the bag fit well on my back. I tried adjusting the torso in different ways to fit my shoulders. The hip belt would be too high, or in the other direction, the straps were too narrow for me and would dig into my neck. I thought that I was going crazy about it, but then I took the PD bag from my wife, and the attachment points for the straps are indeed more separated from each other than on the EC. And as a final, the material on the back/ shoulder straps in the diamond ripstop was too "scratchy" and was rubbing me, even while wearing a thick polo.
