    Notebook backpacks: What is to consider?

But these only refer to the screen diagonal and do not take into account the frame dimensions of the notebook. To account for frame thickness (and notebook thickness), you should also pay attention to the exact dimensions of the backpack. When stowing, make sure your laptop is snug but not too tight. Notebook backpacks must not be packed too much to avoid pressure on the device or damage to the display. Separate pockets for accessories provide a good overview and ensure that you do not have to carry charging cables or computer mouse in the notebook compartment or loosely in the inner compartment. To prevent overheating, place your computer in the relevant compartment only when it is switched off, i.e. not in standby mode. Avoid crumbs, dust and sand: Notebooks are real magnets for dirt particles of all kinds. You should therefore empty and shake your backpack regularly. Also pay attention to the empty weight of the selected model - the higher it is, the more sophisticated the carrying system has to be. Wide shoulder straps and a stabilizing chest strap are recommended in any case: Larger models often have a padded hip belt.
