The story of Zero Halliburton begins in 1938 when successful entrepreneur Erle Palmer Halliburton needs a sturdy companion for his trips through Texas oil fields and orders an aluminium briefcase. Handcrafted by aircraft engineers, the first Zero Halliburton briefcase provides an airtight sealing and keeps documents and personal things safe. The penetration of dust and water is finally prevented. In 1946, the signature double-rib design is born: the vertical, convex lines adorn the front and the back of every Zero Halliburton suitcase (on a Zero Halliburton briefcase they are horizontal). Usually there are two or three lines embossed on the sides and taking up the entire height. The use of anodized aluminium is also typical. It has a protective, corrosion-resistant oxide layer that makes Zero Halliburton luggage last longer. Zero Halliburton cases are so robust and reliable that in 1969 the US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) used one of them to transport ground samples after the Apollo 11 moon landing. Zero Halliburton aluminium suitcases also impress with their noble appearance: in the course of the company's history, they have appeared in over 300 films and TV shows.
