Kånken Art backpacks, which are issued since 2016 as a special edition in cooperation with two renowned artists Erik Olovsson and Cecilia Heikkilä, are particularly interesting.     Fjällräven rucksacks for outdoor adventures

    The Swedish brand is oriented to the harsh conditions in the Scandinavian highlands and produces durable and smart outdoor equipment. Sweden's highest mountain, Kebnekaise, was the inspiration for Fjällräven's KEB series, which features excellent weather resistance. In 2008 Fjällräven launched the Kajka trekking backpack: it impresses above all with the Perfect Fit carrying system. The backpack was updated in 2013: a new environmentally friendly birchwood frame is as strong as aluminium. The majority of the outdoor models are made of the G-1000® material, which was developed by Fjällräven in 1968. The fabric consists of 65% polyester and 35% cotton, is breathable, quick-drying, windproof and waterproof. The G-1000 is currently available in five versions – loosely woven and therefore lighter, with a roughened surface and therefore noiseless, unwaxed for better ventilation or impregnated on both sides with Greenland wax and therefore extremely hard-wearing. The eco-version of this material consists of recycled polyester and organic cotton.

    Fjällräven: Inspired by love for nature

    The founder of Fjällräven, Åke Nordin, an enthusiastic boy scout and nature lover, started making his first hiking backpacks at school. He established the one-man company in 1960 in Örnsköldsvik, Sweden, and was already very successful with his first hiking backpack. This was based on a prototype with a wooden support system and, thanks to its built-in aluminium frame, achieved great stability, while the models that were common at the time rapidly deformed on the way. The Fjällräven range expanded a bit later to include other outdoor products such as tents, sleeping bags and functional clothing.
