What makes Qwstion bags and backpacks so special?

The MCO principle (multiple carrying options)

A multi-functionality of Qwstion bags and backpacks is supported by smart design elements – and it starts with the small things. The longevity of the products is guaranteed by a special "Circlestitch" seam technique: instead of the typical square-shaped stitching, the straps are attached in a semi-circle with an additional seam in the middle. Every detail of the urban bags in unisex style has been carefully thought out: for example, the strap, which is vertically attached to the back of the Office Pack and equipped with a fastening loop for the regulator, also serves as a practical trolley strap. One of the pragmatic new inventions is the modular handle with hook buckles at both ends; they make it particularly easy to adapt it to the desired bag shape – as a short carrying handle for a Qwstion backpack or as a longer version for a Qwstion bag.

Most bag models, such as the Qwstion tote, can be converted into a backpack in no time with the Simple Strap System: Special elements such as sewn-on leather patches with snap buttons and adjustable sliders allow you to adjust the length of the straps and use them as shoulder straps or backpack straps. By the Qwstion travel shopper with Smart Strap System the snap buttons are replaced by fabric stoppers, which are held in place by the loops at the upper edge of the bag. The Qwstion carrying systems are not limited to these two alternatives: The 1-for-2-System is based on a completely different principle – it works with the help of a removable shoulder strap and a double strap regulator. The regulator has a chamber with an inclined opening – the strap is pushed into this and fixed in place thanks to two attached leather patches. The carabiners are then clipped into the metal D-rings. A popular Qwstion weekender bag is also equipped with the 1-for-2-System and can be carried comfortably on the back.

Sustainability

Qwstion is aiming for the ecological footprint to be as small as possible by using pollutant-free and quickly degradable materials such as cotton, wool or linen – each fabric is covered with a water-repellent, PFC-free coating. Qwstion complements the existing materials with its own creative ideas: One of the latest developments is Bananatex, the world's first technical fabric made from fibers of the banana plant Abacá, which is organically cultivated in the Philippine highlands. The sustainable alternative to synthetic fabrics convinces in every way since 2018: Banatex is waterproof, durable, light and long-lasting and is therefore excellently suited for the production of robust bags and backpacks.
