    It started in a garage

    In May 1979, the "Great Bach Packing and Construction Company" is founded in a shed in Ireland. Initially, the company developed backpack systems and patented the first functioning carrying system with an internal frame for backpacks. At that time, the company also produced for third-party suppliers such as Lowe Alpine and The North Face. After a few ups and downs, name changes and relocations, Bach moved to Switzerland in 1998 and continued to expand. Since 2022, the product range has been expanded to include tents, tarps and camping furniture.
