    A beauty case, also called a cosmetic case, is compact luggage for hygiene products and make-up. The name originates in its suitcase-like shape – and typical contents. But it is more than a suitcase en miniature. It provides a safe and convenient way of stowing care and cosmetic products that you do not want to miss on a holiday. A beauty case is sometimes synonymously called a makeup case. This is not accurate, because a makeup case is already filled with makeup – hence the name. A travel beauty case saves you a lot of effort: no unpacking, no digging – everything you need is right at your fingertips and perfectly organized. Models made of curv are not only lighter than their aluminium counterparts but also lighter than comparable polycarbonate cases. Due to its shape stability and robustness, a hardside beauty case is a good choice for travelling by plane. The advantages of fabric models made of nylon or polyester include low weight and stretch-ability, so that flexible packing is no problem. A leather beauty case belongs also to the category soft luggage but weighs normally more than synthetic models. Due to the flexible shell, all fabric suitcases can be compressed and adapted to the luggage compartment or the luggage rack if necessary.     Beauty cases as cabin luggage: All you need to know

    You can usually take a beauty case on board if it does not exceed the dimensions of 55 x 40 x 20 cm and a maximum weight of 8 kg. Important: Bottles and tubes with gel-like or liquid substances must not contain more than 100 ml. The containers for liquids belong in a transparent bag with a maximum capacity of 1 litre. This can contain any number of tubes, but must close completely. Please remember that only one bag per person is allowed. Beauty cases with a transparent, removable toiletry bag in the correct size are very practical. With a large cosmetic case, you can even carry small electrical devices like a hairdryer or a hair straightener. Note: Only well functioning devices can be transported in the hand luggage. Certain cosmetic products, especially those in spray form or sharp objects such as shavers with removable blades, are generally not permitted in cabin baggage. Alternatively, you can check in your beauty case with your suitcase. Then it is included in the weight limit of 20 kg for free baggage. If the beauty case is large or is intended for check-in, we recommend variants with an integrated TSA lock. They are particularly advisable for travel in the USA, as they can be unlocked by airport officials with a master key.
