Love the design of this pack - I was able to access it easily even with the rain cover on, as the lid has buckles that can be released from the front and back. And the side pockets open from the back so again, when the pack was on the ground with a rain cover, I could still get to the side pockets. The only points I'm not keen on are the bottom pocket is a bit hard to open due to the shape (the zip has to go around the curves of the pocket) and the weight is heavy - I read many reviews saying you don't notice the weight when it's on, but I was carrying around 15kg and had to adjust the straps and waist belt so often that I thought it may be faulty and maybe the back system was not staying in place. I have only used this once so I will see how I get on with it the next time. Great quality though and the material will never rip. It is hard to wipe clean though and is not washable so I'll still be careful about putting it on the ground.
