This is achieved by using leftover material from normal production for other purposes, such as small accessories, and the smallest scraps are moulded into leather panels to reinforce various bag elements. Markberg is a proud member of the Leather Working Group, which is committed to reducing the environmental impact of the leather industry. The brand is committed to social responsibility and supports not only human and labour rights, but also animal welfare and much more.

    Where it all began

    Markberg, a Danish brand for high-quality leather goods and accessories, was launched in 2008 by founders Mette Astrup (MA) and Rune Klemmensen (RK). The idea for Markberg was born when Mette Astrup was looking for gloves that were both functional and aesthetically pleasing. From this vision, not only were high-quality designer gloves developed, but bags were soon added to the range.
    Markberg embodies the essence of simplicity and Scandinavian design, combined with unique details. Handcrafted elements and functionality are at the centre of the design and give each product a distinctive touch.
